Too bad I never photographed it.

Chris--Isn't it funny that those three-speeds were called "racers"? Isn't it also funny that bikes with pretentions of being drag racers could be so hard to pedal and so uncomfortable?Justine Valinottihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10852069587181432102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8908461644259659419.post-27168804802846948832012-01-17T20:52:40.675-08:002012-01-17T20:52:40.675-08:00Justine,

Almost sounds like a Moulton F-frame, though I'm sure no one would put that out on the curb.Velouriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00359329171411037482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8908461644259659419.post-23843494798200672022012-01-17T10:04:54.764-08:002012-01-17T10:04:54.764-08:00Ah...banana seats and high-rise handlebars; how I ...Ah...banana seats and high-rise handlebars; how I dreamed of having a bike with these growing up in the late 60's. All I had at that time was an old "English Racer" (remember that silly term) three-speed stuck in first gear. Finally, one Christmas I received my dream bike only to find out how hard it was to pedal, and how very uncomfortable it was to ride during my long paper route. Oh the memories of youth and being on your bike!Chris Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07141668434994777170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8908461644259659419.post-41930942195379330182012-01-17T08:22:27.347-08:002012-01-17T08:22:27.347-08:00Justine, I bet there's a photo of the bike you...Justine, I bet there's a photo of the bike you describe on this page: http://www.moultonbicycles.co.uk/heritage.html

I enjoy your blog - thanks for writing.Chromatonichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05678688509113255586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8908461644259659419.post-41888675508112413602012-01-16T20:59:07.381-08:002012-01-16T20:59:07.381-08:00How true, Steve! How true, Steve!Justine Valinottihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10852069587181432102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8908461644259659419.post-81416176207068615172012-01-16T19:06:12.392-08:002012-01-16T19:06:12.392-08:00Novel machines rescued from the trash are the best...Novel machines rescued from the trash are the best kind.Steve Ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13650405341304401203noreply@blogger.com
